#VGMA19: “Gringo” by Shatta Wale wins reggae-dancehall song of the year

Reggae-dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale’s “Gringo” has won the “Reggae-dancehall Song of the Year” at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) held at the Accra International Conference center (AICC) on Saturday, May 18th, 2019.

Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr. is a Ghanaian-born producer and reggae-dancehall musician. He is known by his stage name Shatta Wale, formerly Bandana. His best-known song is “Dancehall King”, which led to winning the Artiste of the Year at the 2014 edition of the Ghana Music Awards.
