Veteran multiple award-winning reggae dancehall musician, Samini has expressed his heartfelt for loosing the “Artist Of The Decade” award to rapper Sarkodie.
The award which was created to award most hardworking artist who have sustained their relevance and consistency within a decade. The first decade award went to the legend, Kojo Antwi and the second was won by Sarkodie at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards 2019.
Sarkodie beat stiff competition from Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Nacee, Efya, Becca, and Okyeame Kwame to grab the award although majority of people tipped Samini to walk home with the prize.
Speaking on the issue on Hitz FM with Andy Dosty, Samini said “he was hugely disappointed he did not win it but it’s all cool, adding he has nothing against Sarkodie since he also deserved it”
It’s believed Samini angrily left the auditorium soon after the winner of the Artiste of the Decade was declared but Samini told Andy Dosty that wasn’t the case.
